The hotel is located at the northern end of the city centre right across the road from the First Direct Arena. Although the immediate neighbourhood may not appear particularly vibrant, the hotel is only a short walk to the heart of the city centre where you can find loads of places to eat, drink and shop.

There is a major bus stop on Woodhouse Lane just outside the Merrion Centre, although the city centre location means that most points of interest are within walking distance from the hotel. However, the city centre location also means that there is no on-site parking, although you can park at the nearby Merrion Centre for £10 per 24-hour period.

Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
