Although the immediate neighbourhood may appear a little dull, there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. From here it is only a two-minute walk to the riverfront and a five-minute walk to the railway station.

Plenty of bus routes stop nearby on Whitehall Road, Wellington Street and Aire Street, although the city centre location means that most points of interest are not much more than a 10–15-minute walk away.

Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
