Premier Inn Salisbury South Milford

Rooms at the Premier Inn South Milford feature a king-size Hypnos bed and a comfortable chair (twin rooms have a double bed and a chaise longue/sofa bed), a writing desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead above it rather than a proper walk-in shower. All rooms have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access (up to 1GB per day).

This hotel has double, twin and family rooms. Some wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.

The hotel also features the Thyme Bar & Grill, which has an international menu with mostly casual options. The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.

It is a modern three-storey brick building and it is the newer of Salisbury’s two Premier Inn hotels. Although also on the edge of town, this hotel is better located than the other Premier Inn.

It is next door to a McDonald’s and adjacent to the Bourne Retail Park, which has a massive Tesco Extra supermarket (open 24 hours) as well as lots of big box stores that sell things like carpet, mattresses, furniture and plumbing supplies. While not the most charming neighbourhood, you’re certainly not limited to dining in the hotel restaurant.

Local bus services stop near the Bourne Way Roundabout and also at the Petersfinger Park and Ride facility, which are both no more than a two-minute walk away. The ride into the city centre is just under 10 minutes.

It is a great option if you’re driving as there is free parking at the hotel and easy access to the A36 if you’re driving to Southampton or the New Forest.

Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
