Visiting the RAF Manston History Museum

The RAF Manston History Museum is located on the grounds of the former Royal Air Force Manston, inland from the main towns on the Isle of Thanet. It is 3.5km (2¼ miles) from Margate, 7.25km (4½ miles) from Broadstairs and 6.5km (4 miles) from Ramsgate.

The former RAF Manston is also home to the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum, which is only a two-minute walk away, and many people visit both museums on the same day.

The museum is not served by public transport so it’s best suited if you’re driving.

The museum also has an on-site cafe and gift shop.

Allow around an hour for your visit to the museum.
