Residence Inn by Marriott Slough

The hotel opened in February 2021 as part of a nine-storey twin hotel complex in a building shared with a Moxy hotel (both Moxy and Residence Inn are part of the Marriott hotel group).

The hotel’s 92 air-conditioned suites are on the upper floors of the complex and they all have separate living and sleeping areas and offer a self-contained apartment-style space that includes kitchen facilities and a decent-sized workspace. They all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a sofa, a flatscreen TV, kitchen facilities with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stovetop and tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities and an en suite bathroom. Suites range in size from 28m² (312 sq ft) to 31m² (340 sq ft).

The hotel has a nice bar and lounge where you can enjoy a drink and a light meal and a complimentary breakfast is also available.

The Residence Inn Slough has a ninth-floor terrace and a gym that is shared with the adjoining Moxy hotel and guests at the Residence Inn are welcome to drink in Moxy’s bar if they prefer a more youthful vibe.

Residence Inn is Marriott’s brand of extended-stay hotels and it caters to guests on longer stays with spacious self-contained suites rather than regular-sized hotel rooms. It offers a very similar style of accommodation to IHG’s Staybridge Suites brand.

The hotel has a convenient location right in the heart of Slough with most points of interest in the town centre no more than a 10-minute walk away. It is right across the street from the Slough Museum it is only a five-minute walk from Slough railway station, which has frequent trains to London and Windsor.

It is considerably cheaper to stay in Slough than in Windsor or central London and Slough’s excellent transport connections mean that you can be in Windsor in only six minutes (with three trains per hour) and in central London in as little as 15 minutes (with five trains per hour).
