The four rooms all have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities including Nespresso pod coffee machines, ironing facilities and en suite bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is included in your room rate if you’re staying Wednesday–Sunday.

Considering that there are only four rooms, don’t expect the extensive public areas that you find in larger hotels. However, the adjoining restaurant is excellent with locally-caught seafood and lovely harbour views.

Rocksalt is on Fish Market at the northern end of the Folkestone Harbour Swing Bridge and the immediate neighbourhood includes several fish and chips shops and a couple of pubs. The Folkestone Harbour Arm starts at the other end of the swing bridge and it is around a 10-minute walk to the lighthouse at the end of the Harbour Arm.

Most points of interest in the town centre are no more than a 15-minute walk and Folkestone Central railway station is an 18-minute walk from here.
