The Staybridge Suites Liverpool hotel is the first apartment hotel in the Staybridge chain to open outside North America.
Staybridge Suites is an extended stay apartment hotel chain that is popular with business travellers that need to visit Liverpool for a couple of weeks at a time and around 40% of the hotel’s guests stay here for longer than a week.
Accommodation consists of 100 studio apartments and 32 one-bedroom apartments. These are spacious units that include comfortable beds, a small kitchen with a hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher, a lounge area with a flat-screen television and en suite bathrooms (baths in the one-bedroom apartments). Seven of the apartments are wheelchair accessible.
It has a contemporary (but not totally modern) decor with a homely feel that is makes it feel like a home away from home for its regular and longer-term guests.
Although the hotel doesn’t have its own on-site restaurant or bar, there is a communal lounge where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and biscuits anytime and where complimentary breakfast (Mon–Fri 6.30am–9.30am, Sat–Sun 7.30am–10.30am) and drinks and snacks (Mon–Thu 6pm–8pm) are served. This area also includes the Pantry, an on-site convenience store where you can help yourself to essentials.
Guests have free use of the hotel’s gym and there is also an in-house laundry that is free for guests to use.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Staybridge Suites is a good option for visitors to Liverpool who are looking for a quiet spot to stay that is still within walking distance to the city’s main attractions.
It is located south of Albert Dock next to the Jurys Inn hotel and it is very close to the M&S Bank Arena and the Wheel of Liverpool and it is also convenient if you need to attend an event at the ACC convention centre or the Exhibition Centre Liverpool which are only a couple of minutes walk away.
Although the hotel is outside the city centre, there is a lot that you can see within a short walk. The Museum of Liverpool, the Merseyside Maritime Museum and Tate Liverpool are all less than a 10-minute walk away and the Beatles Story is only a four-minute walk from the hotel. The National Trust tour of the Beatles’ childhood homes departs from the Jurys Inn hotel next door and it is only a three-minute walk to the departure point for the Magical Mystery Tour.
The southern edge of the city centre is only a five-minute walk from the hotel and most points of interest within the city centre are no more than a 20-minute walk away.
Liverpool Lime Street railway station is a 20-minute walk away and it is an eight-minute walk to Liverpool One bus station.
