The Travelodge London Cricklewood hotel is in Cricklewood in north London. It is an affordable place to stay that is close to a railway station with frequent trains that will take you into central London in around 20 minutes.
Rooms at the Travelodge London Cricklewood are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.
This hotel has been recently renovated with Travelodge’s new room design, which means that this hotel offers a higher standard of accommodation when compared with most other Travelodge hotels.
In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are much bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.
There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.
This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant, although there are also plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.
Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.
Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.
The hotel is on Cricklewood Broadway, a busy shopping street in the north London suburb of Cricklewood. There are lots of shops and places to eat and drink nearby and it is a six-minute walk to Cricklewood railway station (in zone three) which has four trains per hour into central London. Thameslink trains call at Cricklewood station, which means that they have several central London stops including St Pancras, City Thameslink, Blackfriars and London Bridge. The journey time to City Thameslink is 20 minutes.
There are also frequent buses to both Kilburn and Willesden Green tube stations on the Jubilee line. Many people find this a better option than Cricklewood station as trains on the Jubilee line are more frequent with 24 trains per hour. Taking a bus to Kilburn, followed by the tube into central London, you are able to get to Bond Street from the hotel in under 20 minutes.
The hotel has on-site parking but this costs £8 for 24 hours with a maximum four-day stay. Although parking isn’t particularly cheap, it is a good option for motorists as the hotel has easy access to the M1 motorway.
There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.

Stay Clear of Travelodge Cricklewood WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE! First of all, I booked a Superroom, when I arrived they checked me into a room called Family room. I immediately went to the reception to say this is not a Superroom because I am a Business customer and I require the Superroom because of the extras that it comes with such as coffee machine and a laptop desk to work on. The receptionist quickly realised that I knew what a Superroom was and then owned up that they did not have a Superroom and that they have been facing this problem from the booking team that takes booking for Superroom only for customers to arrive and to be told that there is no Superroom. She helped me call reservations to see if they could arrange an alternative hotel but the guy categorically said that I should stay in room like that and that reservation cannot offer me a swap. Hearing that I left for another hotel because I needed that good-night rest because I had important business meeting the next day. Then my problem began began. The receptionist had forgotten to record that I did not stay in the room. It took me almost another 3 weeks to get my money refunded. At first I hated the idea that there was no one to talk to except for this useless customer service system where you have to send an email and then wait for a reply. I thought Travelodge would do the right thing but I had to cry at the top of my voice travelling back and forth to the hotel to get evidence (a letter from the receptionist) stating that I never stayed there. And when I said I think I deserve a redress for my stress the customer services response was that they had done me a favour by refunding my money....You can imagine I was Livid. Clearly they never cared about my custom. It was as if it was my fault for choosing the hotel. And to some degree I blame myself. I have since cut ties with Travelodge. I would never in my life stay at this hotel anymore. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!
