Travelodge London Ealing

Travelodge London Ealing has recently been updated to feature Travelodge’s new interior design, which means that this is a nicer place to stay than the average Travelodge.

Rooms at the Travelodge London Ealing are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are much bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant but there are also plenty of places to eat nearby.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.

This Travelodge is in Ealing, which is a major suburban centre in the west of London. Central Ealing has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs making this a convenient place to stay. There are a couple of other hotels nearby including an ibis Styles and a Premier Inn.

The hotel is located equidistant to West Ealing railway station and Ealing Broadway tube and railway station (both in zone three). It is around a 10-minute walk to either station but Ealing Broadway is the more popular option, partly because it has more trains but also because there is more do en route to the station.

TfL Rail stops at both stations en route between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport with four services per hour to Paddington but only two of these going as far as Heathrow. Ealing Broadway also has tube services on the Central and District lines with nine trains per hour on the Central line and six trains per hour on the District line.

The journey time by train from Ealing Broadway to London Paddington is around 12 minutes and it takes around 25 minutes to get to Heathrow Terminal 4. It takes less than half an hour to get into central London from Ealing Broadway with the journey time on the Central line to Oxford Circus taking 25 minutes.

Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
