Travelodge London Ilford Gants Hill

The Travelodge London Ilford Gants Hill hotel is a budget hotel in Ilford in London’s eastern suburbs. It is a cheaper alternative to staying in central London and it is close to Gants Hill tube station, which is around 25 minutes from Bank.

Travelodge London Ilford Gants Hill has recently been updated to feature Travelodge’s new interior design, which makes this hotel a nicer place to stay than the average Travelodge.

Rooms at the London Ilford Gants Hill are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods.

The hotel is in a residential area north of Ilford, around 14.5km (9 miles) northeast of The City. The location is not as convenient as the other Travelodge in Ilford but there are local options for eating and drinking including a Harvester restaurant next door.

The hotel is around a five-minute walk to Gants Hill tube station (in zone four), which is on the Central line. If you’re planning on staying here during summer, it is important to note that the Central line is not air-conditioned. The journey into Bank takes 25 minutes.

The hotel has a small car park that costs £4 for 24 hours.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
