It is a big modern hotel that is a somewhat affordable option in a town full of expensive grand hotels and it is preferable to staying in nearby Slough where many of the other cheaper hotels are located.

The hotel has a mix of double, twin, SuperRoom double and SuperRoom family rooms.

Standard rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

SuperRooms are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost a little extra and are much bigger with a larger desk, more power points and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

Unlike most other hotels in Windsor, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be much more expensive staying here during peak periods.

The Travelodge Windsor Central hotel is in the town centre close to shops and right next door to the Windsor Central shopping centre. It is a six-minute walk to Windsor Castle, a two-minute walk to Windsor and Eton Central railway station and a seven-minute walk to Windsor and Eton Riverside station.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
