The Victoria Square Hotel is a small independently-operated hotel in Clifton, around a 25-minute walk west of Bristol’s city centre.
The hotel has 41 guest rooms, which range from tiny 7m² (75 sq ft) economy single rooms to small double rooms 9m² (96 sq ft), standard 12m² (129 sq ft) double and twin rooms and larger 17m² (183 sq ft) double, twin and family rooms. All rooms have a small work desk, a TV, ironing facilities and tea and coffee making facilities.
The hotel does not have a lift, so it may not be ideal if you have trouble climbing stairs.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel, however, other guests report that the quality of your connection can be a bit hit or miss depending on which room you’re staying in.
It is a charming place to stay that is a good option for travellers who prefer not to stay in a sterile chain hotel.
The hotel has its own in-house restaurant, Botanica, which serves a full-English buffet breakfast in the morning and an Italian-inspired menu for lunch and dinner. The breakfast is usually an additional charge, although it can be reasonably priced if you include breakfast when booking your hotel.

In addition to pottering around Clifton Village, Clifton has several of its own attractions including the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Clifton Observatory, which are both less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel has a small on-site car park, which costs £6 per night.
