Local and regional buses and National Express coach services stop outside the station
Regional buses departing from here include the Coastliner 840, 843, X40 and X43 buses stopping in York en route between Leeds and Whitby and the Cityzap bus, which runs between York and Leeds. Between the Cityzap and Coastliner buses, there are buses to Leeds departing every 15 minutes which are often a cheaper alternative to taking the train.
