With 177 guest rooms, the Apex City of Bath Hotel is one of Bath’s largest hotels. It is a modern four-star hotel on the edge of the city centre and it offers a high standard of accommodation.
The hotel rooms are all air-conditioned and have comfortable king-size beds, a work desk, a large 124cm (49″) flatscreen television, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities and en suite bathrooms with a walk-in shower and Elemis toiletries. The larger superior and deluxe rooms also have Nespresso coffee machines, a bathtub and bathrobes and slippers. Nine of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.
Rooms are spacious and range from 24m² (258 sq ft) to 39m² (420 sq ft) and they have floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in lots of natural light.
The Orange Artichoke is the hotel’s spacious restaurant, which serves high-quality food but it lacks the atmosphere of other restaurants in the area.
Leisure facilities include a gym, a steam room and sauna and a 15m- (50 ft)-long swimming pool.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Apex is a small hotel chain with only 10 hotels including this one plus three in London and the rest in Scotland. Guests staying in Apex hotels get a souvenir Apex duck to take home.
The hotel is across the road from Green Park station, the former railway station that now hosts a Saturday market. Most points of interest in central Bath are no more than a 10-minute walk away and Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa and Theatre Royal are all within a five-minute walk from the hotel.
This hotel does not have a car park and it is around a five-minute walk to the nearest place where you can park for longer than 24 hours.
