The Blackburne Arms is a local pub in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter that has accommodation upstairs.
The accommodation is a relatively small part of the business with just seven rooms above the pub. The rooms have comfortable beds, a television, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms.
It is a nice place to stay, particularly if you prefer to stay in small independently operated hotels.
The pub downstairs is the main focus of the business. It is somewhat of a gastropub that is noted for its food and its menu has all the usual pub favourites but with a focus on local seasonal produce that makes the food served here a step above your average pub grub.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet is available in the rooms and throughout the public areas.
It is located on the corner of Catherine Street and Blackburne Place in the Georgian Quarter between Liverpool’s two cathedrals, which are both around a 10-minute walk away. Its location in the Georgian Quarter means that it is also close to the Garstang Museum of Archaeology, the Victoria Gallery & Museum and the Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre. Other areas of Liverpool are farther away and you need to take a good 20-minute walk to get to most points of interest in the city centre and it is a 25-minute walk to Albert Dock and a half-hour walk to Pier Head and the Liverpool waterfront.
