Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre hotel (formerly the Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre) is a large hotel near Bristol’s main shopping district; however, the in-room decor can feel somewhat dated.

It is a large 300-room hotel and all guest rooms have comfortable beds, a small sitting area, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities (including a trouser press), tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom.

The hotel is in a newer building than Bristol’s other Marriott hotel and while it lacks the character of the Bristol Marriott Royal it does have more extensive facilities including more dining areas and an indoor swimming pool.

There are several bars and restaurants at the hotel including the Cast Iron Grill which has an international menu with a focus on grilled meat plus the Brew Bar Lounge and the Outdoor Urban Terrace, which are more drinks-focused with pub-style menus.

Guests have access to the hotel’s leisure facilities, which includes a gym and a heated indoor swimming pool.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the hotel’s public areas but there is an additional charge for in-room Wi-Fi (£9.99–12.49 per day depending on how fast you need your data).

Although it is closer to the city’s main shopping district, this hotel is farther from the main tourist sights than Bristol’s other Marriott hotel.

The hotel is wedged between Lower Castle Street and a busy dual carriageway (the A4044) at the eastern edge of the city centre. It is only a short two-minute walk to the city’s main shopping area and Castle Park is right across the street from the hotel.

Although most parts of the city centre are no more than a 10-minute walk from the hotel, most of the city’s main waterfront tourist attractions are at least a 20-minute walk away.

It takes around 12-minutes to walk to Temple Meads railway station.

Although the hotel does not offer its own on-site parking, hotel guests can park in the adjacent NCP car park for £17 per day.
