The Clayton Hotel City of London is a four-star hotel near Aldgate, just east of The City of London. It offers a high standard of accommodation with easy access to central London.

This includes the Bank of England Museum, Guildhall Art Gallery, the City of London Police Museum, the Gherkin, the Monument, the Museum of London, Old Bailey, the Sky Garden, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
Aldgate East tube station is right across the road and it is a five-minute walk to Aldgate station. It is generally best to walk the extra few minutes to Aldgate if you’re heading to Liverpool Street or King’s Cross, as trains from Aldgate are more frequent in this direction, although Aldgate East is fine if you’re heading to Monument or Westminster. Both stations are in zone one with Aldgate East served by the District and Hammersmith & City lines and Aldgate served by the Circle and Metropolitan lines. From Aldgate East, it takes four minutes to get to Monument and 15 minutes to Westminster with trains running every 3–4 minutes and from Aldgate, it takes just one minute to Liverpool Street or 11 minutes to King’s Cross & St Pancras International with trains running every 2–3 minutes.
