Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre

It is a modern eight-storey building with 228 guest bedrooms. The hotel rooms all feature comfortable beds, flat-screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms.

The more expensive Club Rooms have larger beds and give you access to the hotel’s eighth-floor Club Lounge where breakfast is served in the morning and free drinks are served between 6pm and 8pm daily.

All rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and rooms on the higher floors offer views of the Northern Quarter with the Pennine Hills in the distance.

There are 12 wheelchair-accessible rooms and a lower check-in desk for wheelchair users, something a lot of hotels overlook.

The Glasshouse restaurant and bar has a simple menu with some seating in intimate leather booths.

The hotel also has a small 24-hour gym.

There is free Wi-Fi wireless internet access throughout the hotel, although some guests complain that it can be a little slow.

The Crowne Plaza is at the northern end of the city centre. It is less than a five-minute walk to the Arndale Centre and the heart of the Northern Quarter, a 10-minute walk to the Central Retail District and 15 minutes to Spinningfields. Shudehill bus and coach station is only one minute from the hotel, the closest railway station is Manchester Victoria (an eight-minute walk) and Manchester Piccadilly railway station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
