Manchester Victoria railway station is Manchester’s second-most useful station for most visitors to the city. It is a much smaller station compared with Manchester Piccadilly and it has direct trains to destinations in northern England including Blackburn, Blackpool, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle upon Tyne.
From Manchester Victoria, there are three trains per hour to Blackburn and Leeds; two trains per hour to Liverpool and Newcastle upon Tyne and hourly trains to Middlesbrough and Scarborough.
The station is located at the northern edge of the city centre close to Manchester Arena and the National Football Museum. It is less than a five-minute walk to the Arndale Centre, 10-minutes to the heart of the Central Retail District, a 10-minute walk to the Northern Quarter and a 15-minute walk to Spinningfields.
Thirteen different bus routes stop outside including the free Metroshuttle 2 bus service and four Metrolink tram routes also stop here.
