Crowne Plaza Reading

The Crowne Plaza Reading hotel is a full-service four-star hotel on the banks of the River Thames that is around a 15-minute walk northwest of the town centre.

The hotel has 122 guest rooms. Standard rooms come with a comfortable bed, a flat-screen television, a work desk, in-room safe, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom.

The hotel’s Executive Club suites on the top floor include all these facilities but also feature a larger room with a separate sitting area, a larger bed and access to the Club Lounge where you can get complimentary breakfast on weekday mornings and a complimentary bar in the evening.

All rooms are air-conditioned and guests have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access.

The hotel has some connecting rooms plus a couple of wheelchair accessible rooms.

It is a popular hotel for business travellers and features a business centre and meeting facilities that include six meeting rooms, the largest with a capacity of 250 people.

The Riverside Bar and Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and has a menu with burgers, steaks and smaller sharing plates. A limited menu is available 24 hours for room service.

The hotel has extensive fitness facilities including an indoor swimming pool, a staffed fully-equipped fitness centre plus a sauna and spa treatments. In addition, the hotel’s riverside location means that there are plenty of opportunities for walking and running along the riverfront Thames Path.

The hotel located on the banks of the River Thames northwest of central Reading. It is around a 15-minute walk into the town centre and 10 minutes to the railway station. Bus routes 22, 23, 27, 42, X38, X39 and X40 stop near The Moderation pub.
