Crowne Plaza Reading East

The Crowne Plaza Reading East hotel has 174 rooms over seven floors. Nine of the hotel’s rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Standard hotel rooms have comfortable beds plus a sofa bed, flatscreen television, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and an en suite bathroom. Suites also include a bathrobe, slippers and morning newspaper.

All guests have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access.

There are several dining options at the hotel including Caprice Restaurant and Terrace which has an a la carte menu with classic British and authentic Asian dishes plus Monty’s Bar and Lounge which serves lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and cocktails.

Other facilities include a business centre, a fitness centre, spa and wellness centre and a heated indoor swimming pool.

The Crowne Plaza is in the Winnersh Triangle office park at the end of the A329 (M) motorway around 6.8km (4¼ miles) east of Reading town centre. Although the large number of office buildings in the immediate area indicate that a lot of people must work near the hotel, it is difficult to see what all these people do for fun as there doesn’t seem to be much of interest (like cafes, restaurants and pubs) in the immediate vicinity. On a positive note, the Winnersh Triangle area has excellent public transport connections with its own train station and frequent buses (Reading Buses route 500) into Reading town centre.

There is free secure underground parking at this hotel and easy access to the motorway network making it a great option if you’re driving.
