The Delta Hotels by Marriott Warwick (formerly the Hilton Warwick – Stratford-upon-Avon hotel) offers a high standard of accommodation but its location on Warwick’s southern outskirts means that it is only really suitable if you’re driving.
It is a relatively large hotel with 180 guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Although the design is not particularly inspiring, the hotel offers a high standard of accommodation.
The hotel’s Kingmaker Restaurant is headed by Michelin starred Chef, Glynn Purnell, and serves from a menu of international and modern British cuisine in an open space with a contemporary, but somewhat bland, decor.
The hotel also has a lounge bar where you can enjoy a drink and a light meal in a more casual environment.
Hotel guests also have access to an on-site fitness centre.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is located on the southern edge of Warwick right next to Junction 15 of the M40 motorway. Although it’s not the most vibrant area, it is well connected to the road network if you’re driving and there is also a bus stop nearby with direct buses into Warwick’s town centre as well as to Coventry, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Despite being on the edge of Warwick, it only takes four minutes to drive into the town centre (although the bus takes 20 minutes); heading in the other direction, Stratford-upon-Avon is a 12-minute drive or 22 minutes by bus.
Car parking is available but it costs £5 per night.
