The Discovery Inn is a centrally located hotel that is ideally situated if you’re travelling by rail. It is good value for money, although it does feel a bit dated when compared with other budget hotels elsewhere in Leeds.
The hotel has 93 guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Room types include single, double, twin, triple and quad rooms, which means that you don’t need to pay for a double room if you’re travelling by yourself and the larger rooms are a good option for a family or a group of friends travelling together (although it is usually cheaper to book two double or twin rooms than one quad room).
On weekdays there is a complimentary continental buffet breakfast, although breakfast costs £4.95 per person on weekends.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The furnishings and fittings are a bit dated and the hotel could do with an overhaul; however, it is relatively clean and the location is perfect if you’re arriving or departing by train.
This hotel’s best asset is its location. It is right across the road from Leeds railway station and virtually everything of interest in the city centre is no more than a 10-minute walk away. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby including Laynes Espresso (a two-minute walk away) for your morning coffee and an excellent selection of pubs for later on.Check prices and availability for Discovery Inn
