The DoubleTree by Hilton Stratford-upon-Avon hotel offers a high standard of accommodation and is very conveniently located close to the railway station and the town centre.
Although it doesn’t look particularly attractive from the street, the hotel looks much nicer when viewed from within its leafy grounds.
The 102 air-conditioned guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Rooms range in size from 19m² (204 sq ft) to 24m² (258 sq ft).
The in-house Quills Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. It is a nice spot for a meal, although the hotel’s location on the edge of the town centre means that there are plenty of other places nearby to go out for a meal.
The hotel also has a lounge bar, which offers a more casual dining experience. The lounge bar is also a great spot for a drink or afternoon tea.
Guest have free access to the hotel’s small gym, which is open 24 hours.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is on a residential street between the railway station and the town centre. It’s not much more than a five-minute walk to the station and most points of interest in the town centre are no more than a 10-minute walk away.
Car parking is available but it costs £7.50 per day.
