Ellesmere Port railway station

Ellesmere Port is the terminus of two rail lines: the Merseyrail service to Liverpool Central (via Birkenhead) and the Northern service to Liverpool Lime Street (via Warrington).

The most frequent trains to Liverpool are with Merseytravel (Liverpool’s suburban rail network), which run every half hour but you will need to take a Northern Rail train to Warrington Bank Quay to change for trains on the East Coast Main Line (to Birmingham, London and Glasgow) and to Manchester.
