The 129 air-conditioned hotel rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat screen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Rooms are fairly spacious for a hotel in a historic city in this price range and the rooms also have plenty of storage space.

It is a relatively new hotel, opened in 2022. Roman ruins were discovered during construction and parts of the hotel feature glass floors that let you see the ruins of a Roman theatre.

The hotel has its own bar and a room where the complimentary hot breakfast is served every morning.

Hampton by Hilton Canterbury is located on a quiet street just a short walk from the heart of the city. From here, you can walk to the Roman Museum in three minutes and Canterbury Cathedral and the Beaney Museum are only a four-minute walk from here.

The location is handy if you’re travelling by public transport as it is only a four-minute walk to Canterbury Central Bus Station. The railway stations are within walking distance too; Canterbury East railway station is a seven-minute walk from the hotel and Canterbury West station is a 12-minute walk.

Car parking is available for £15 per day if you’re driving.
