The Hugo is a highly-regarded independent hotel in the historic centre of Canterbury.

It is a small hotel with only a handful of rooms and it offers accommodation of a very high standard. The air-conditioned rooms all have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities that include Nespresso pod coffee machines and en suite bathrooms with monsoon showers and Temple Spa toiletries.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel doesn’t have much in the way of public areas so there is no restaurant, no bar and not even a reception area. The central location means that the lack of a restaurant or bar is no problem and when you book online you’ll be sent details about checking in and out, which means that you don’t need a reception desk either.

The Hugo has an excellent location on St Peter’s Street right in the heart of the city centre. From here, it is only a one-minute walk to Westgate Towers, a two-minute walk to the Beaney Museum or the Marlowe Theatre and the Cathedral, the Roman Museum and Canterbury West railway station are all around a five-minute walk from here.
