Henrietta House Hotel is a small upscale hotel in a historic Georgian building on a quiet street just a short walk from the centre of Bath. It is a charming place to stay with the feel of a small independent hotel, although it is actually part of the Radisson hotel chain.
With 66 guest rooms, Henrietta House is a larger hotel than you would expect. All the rooms have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. However, not all the rooms have a work desk, which can be a deal-breaker if you’re travelling on business or simply spending some time in Bath while you’re supposed to be working from home.
Rooms range from a compact 10m² (108 sq ft) for a single room to the spacious 60m² (646 sq ft) top floor suite. Double rooms range from 12m² (129 sq ft) to 21m² (226 sq ft).
We noticed some scuffing around the floors when we visited to review the hotel, although this could have been an intentional design feature; however, the hotel is otherwise maintained to a very high standard and it offers a lot more character than most other chain hotels.
There is not much in the way of public areas, other than a room on the ground floor where breakfast is served and a small bar. However, 24-hour room service is available.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is on a quiet residential street on the Bathwick side of the River Avon; however, it is only a three-minute walk from Pulteney Bridge and most points of interest in Bath are not much more than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
