The Hill House Bath hotel is a small independent B&B with six rooms. The building is part of a Georgian terrace that was built in 1765 and it is a charming place to stay, just a short walk north of Bath’s city centre.
All rooms all have comfortable beds as well as a television, tea and coffee making facilities with homemade biscuits and an en suite bathroom with White Company toiletries. The rooms are tastefully decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern furnishings and no two rooms are alike.
It wouldn’t be a B&B without breakfast, which is served at a big communal dining table where you can get to know your fellow guests.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the property.
The Hill House is around 400m (¼ mile) from the northern edge of the city centre; however, it is at the top of a steep hill so the walk into town is much easier than the walk home at the end of the day. Although there are a few shops near the hotel, the only place to eat in the immediate area is an Indian restaurant and you’ll need to walk into the city centre if you feel like anything else.
The tourist sights at the top end of town are nearby, the Bath Assembly Rooms, the Fashion Museum and the Museum of Bath at Work are all within a five-minute walk. The railway station is a 20-minute walk away and most other points of interest are between a five- and a 15-minute walk from the B&B.
Free off-street parking is available, although the Hill House does not have its own car park.
