Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow Terminal 2

The Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow Terminal 2 is the best accommodation option for people using Terminal 2 at Heathrow airport and it is also a very convenient option for Terminal 3.

The 14-storey hotel has 369 air-conditioned guest rooms, each with comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen television, ironing facilities, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms with nice big walk-in showers and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. Some of the rooms on the higher floors have runway views and wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.

The rooms are spacious but for a brand new hotel, the decor does feel a little bland.

The hotel is located near the Plaza Premium arrivals lounges that you can get into if you have a Priority Pass (which comes with most American Express Platinum cards). The lounge is open to 10pm and has free snacks and drinks.

Guests who don’t have access to this lounge can buy something to eat or drink at the hotel’s Apron bar and restaurant, which has a limited menu with international casual dining options such as burgers, curry, fish and chips, pasta and pizza.

There is also a small convenience store in the hotel’s reception area.

The hotel also has a business centre with meeting rooms and a copying and printing service, a self-service coin laundry area and a fitness centre that all guests have access to.

The Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow Terminal 2 hotel is a great accommodation option if you’re flying from Terminals 2 or 3 at Heathrow airport. It is just a short walk to Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 is less than a 10-minute walk through an underground walkway. (Photo © 2019 Hilton)

It is more expensive than the Hilton Garden Inn at Hatton Cross or most of the Bath Road hotels for that matter, however, you’re paying for the location and most guests say that it is worth the extra money for the convenience of being right next to Terminals 2 and 3.

Although many of the hotels at Heathrow airport advertise as being close to Terminals 2 and 3, only two of these (this hotel and the Aerotel at Terminal 3) are actually within walking distance to both terminals. This is because the majority of Terminal 2 and 3 hotels are on Bath Road, north of the airport, which are only accessible via a road tunnel that does not have pedestrian access. The beauty of this Hilton Garden Inn hotel is that it is attached to Terminal 2 and less than a 10-minute walk through an underground walkway to Terminal 3.
