It is a well-established hotel that some would call it dated and it attracts mostly business travellers.

The 208 guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Several of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. Most rooms range from 19m² (205 sq ft) to 34m² (366 sq ft), although family rooms are more spacious at 53m² (571 sq ft).

Suites have separate living and sleeping areas and a few extras such as bathrobes and slippers.

The hotel’s City 3 bar and restaurant offer the option for a drink or a brasserie-style meal. However, there is a much wider selection of places to eat and drink within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

The hotel also offers fitness facilities that include an indoor swimming pool.

Wi-Fi wireless internet is available throughout the hotel but it is a pricey £15 per day, although Hilton Honors members get free Wi-Fi access if they book through the Hilton website.

Most guests who have stayed at both hotels say that this hotel is not as nice as the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel just around the corner. Not only is the DoubleTree hotel in a newer building but it also has free Wi-Fi plus a much more pleasant location compared to this hotel.

The hotel is on Neville Street, immediately south of Leeds railway station. Although it is essentially right next door to the station, the street layout means that it still takes three minutes to walk to the station entrance.

It is only a one-minute walk to the River Aire and the city’s main shopping district is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. Most other points of interest in the city centre are no more than a 10–15-minute walk away.
