Holiday Inn Express London – Swiss Cottage

It is a modern hotel with 79 guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms.

The Great Room is the hotel’s bar and lounge area near the ground floor reception area where the Express Start buffet breakfast, which is included in your room rate, is served every morning.

There is free wired internet access in all rooms, but Wi-Fi wireless internet access is only free for IHG Rewards members. It is free to join the IHG loyalty programme and free Wi-Fi is available to all members, even those on the entry-level tier.

The hotel is located in a nice part of London that doesn’t see too many tourists. Finchley Road is a vibrant neighbourhood shopping strip with a good selection of places to eat, drink and shop and the surrounding streets include some of London’s nicer residential areas.

You can walk from here to the Freud Museum in around seven minutes but you’ll need to hop on a bus or tube to see London’s other attractions.

Finchley Road (on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines in zone two) is the closest tube station. The station is a three-minute walk from the hotel and is only a couple of stops from Central London. From here you can get to Baker Street in six minutes and Bond Street in seven minutes with trains running every couple of minutes.

If you are flying in or out of Luton or Stansted Airports, it is only one minute to a spot where you can catch a direct National Express coach to either of these two airports.

The hotel has limited on-site car parking, which costs £20 per night.
