Hotel rooms feature comfortable beds, work desks, large flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso coffee machine and modern en suite bathrooms with bathrobes and toiletries from the White Company. Some of the rooms have spa baths and even saunas.

It is a stylish hotel with custom made furniture and contemporary art and staying here is like stepping into a home decor magazine.

Your room rate includes breakfast cooked to order and you have the choice of a full English, smashed avocado on sourdough toast or classics like eggs benedict and eggs royale.

In the evening head to Una Bar, the hotel bar, for beer, wine and cocktails. While the bar is closed to the public late at night, guests have 24-hour access.

If you’re visiting on business, you can rent one of the hotel’s two conference rooms (which both overlook Regency Square).

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The nature of the historic building means that the hotel is not suitable for guests with disabilities.

The hotel is on Regency Square at the western edge of central Brighton. It is only a four-minute walk to the British Airways i360, a 10-minute walk will take you to The Lanes and it is 15 minutes to the pier, Brighton Dome, Brighton Museum and the Royal Pavilion.

Like other hotels on Regency Square, it doesn’t have its own parking but there is a secure public car park just across the road underneath the square, which charges £18 for 24 hours.

It is one of Brighton’s better boutique hotels (and there is plenty of competition). Service is friendly, yet professional, and the hotel is clean, well-maintained with the sort of unique character that it hard to find in larger hotels.
