ibis budget London Heathrow Central

The ibis budget London Heathrow Central hotel is a good value place to stay close to Heathrow Airport, although there are a lot of other hotels closer to the airport than this one.

This hotel was formerly a Travelodge hotel so the rooms are a little larger than a purpose-built ibis budget hotel and the decor looks a little different to the standard design that you would normally find in an ibis budget.

Rooms at the ibis budget London Heathrow Central are a mix of double, twin, triple and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

This ibis budget has an on-site bar and restaurant, which is a good thing as there are not many options in the local area.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be much more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.

There is not much of interest in the immediate area and the main attraction is the proximity to Heathrow Airport but even the airport isn’t that close. It is located on Bath Road (where many other airport hotels are located) and there are plenty of transport options to the airport.

The easiest way to get to the airport terminals is by the Hotel Hoppa shuttle bus but it is much cheaper to get a local bus outside the hotel to Hounslow West tube station and then take the tube to the airport.

Parking is available but it costs £13 for 24 hours.

Ibis budget is the cheapest and most basic of the three tiers of the ibis brand and some ibis budget hotels were previously branded as Hotel Formule 1 or Etap hotels. Most hotels in the ibis budget chain follow a cookie-cutter approach with identical rooms within the hotel and from one hotel to another, although this hotel is a little different as it was formerly a Travelodge. It’s a budget hotel that does exactly what it says on the tin. There’s nothing fancy about ibis budget, but it delivers on its budget promise with rooms that are simple, clean and cheap.
