Travelodge London Belvedere

The Travelodge London Belvedere hotel is a modern budget hotel in London’s eastern suburbs. It is generally a good value place to stay but transport connections into central London are not as good as many other suburban hotels.

Rooms at the Travelodge London Belvedere are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be much more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.

The neighbourhood is pleasant enough with modern blocks of flats and a family-friendly pub (The Morgan) nearby but there is not much else in the local area.

It is around a 10-minute walk to Belvedere railway station (in zone five), which has six trains per hour into central London (all stop at London Bridge and four trains continue to London Cannon Street and two to Charing Cross). The journey time into central London is 30–44 minutes (depending on which London station you are going to).

Alternatively, you can catch bus route 180 to Woolwich and then hop on an Elizabeth line train into central London.

Free parking is available at this hotel, which makes it a good option if you’re touring Britain by car and would rather not drive in central London. If you stay here, you can park the car for free, save on accommodation (compared to expensive central London hotels) and take the train into central London.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
