The ibis London Stratford Hotel can often be a good value accommodation option with easy access to frequent transport connections into Central London, although it is not as conveniently-located as other hotels in Stratford.
The hotel’s 108 rooms all have comfortable Sweet Beds, a work desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities (including an Illy coffee machine) and en suite bathrooms.
The in-house restaurant, Fogg’s, has an international menu and it is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, there are plenty of other places to eat and drink within an easy walk from the hotel.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The Stratford location means that this hotel is quite a bit cheaper than hotels in Central London even though transport connections mean that you can get into Central London quickly from here.
Although there are plenty of places to shop, eat and drink (including two major shopping centres) within a short walk from the hotel, it is not the best located of Stratford’s hotels and Stratford Station is around a 10-minute walk from here (Maryland station is a couple of minutes closer but Stratford has more frequent trains).
Stratford station is a busy hub for DLR, Overground, Underground, suburban and regional trains. There are tube trains every two minutes into Central London on both the Central and Jubilee lines and there are 13 trains per hour direct to Liverpool Street station.
Stratford is also well situated if you need to get to some of London’s smaller airports with a direct DLR link to London City Airport, direct trains to Southend Airport and National Express coaches to Stansted Airport.
