The 305 hotel rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Double rooms (with a queen-size bed) and twin rooms (with two single beds) are relatively small at 15m² (161 sq ft); however, the hotel also has larger interconnecting queen rooms that feature a double and twin room with a connecting door, which is an ideal option for families.

The hotel has a modern cafe that is open for lunch and dinner as well as the Custom House pub. The pub has a better atmosphere than you would expect for a hotel bar.

Like other hotels near ExCeL, prices at the ibis Styles can vary a lot with significantly higher prices when there is a big event on at ExCeL. However, it can also be a reasonably affordable place to stay when there is nothing on at ExCeL.

It is on the northern side of Victoria Dock Road, which means that its location has more of a local flavour than most other hotels near the ExCeL exhibition and convention centre. There is a local shopping strip on nearby Freemasons Road and ExCeL is right across the street from the hotel (although it is a five-minute walk to the entrance).

It is easy to commute into central London from here as the hotel is right across the road from Custom House station, which is served by the Elizabeth line and the DLR. From here it is an 11-minute ride to Liverpool Street in The City and a 16-minute ride to Tottenham Court Road with trains running every five minutes or so. Bus route 474 will take you to London City Airport in just seven minutes (you can even walk to the airport in under half an hour).
