Megabus coach stop (Bristol)

Rated 1.71 out of 5

Megabus run coaches from Bristol to destinations throughout the UK including frequent coach services to London and direct services to other places elsewhere in the United Kingdom.

Megabus coach services depart from the bus stop on Bond Street near Superios Chicken in the city centre. This is just a regular bus stop on the street and not a proper coach station.

You can follow Hannover Court, next to McDonalds, to get to Bond Street from The Horsehair if you’re coming here from Cabot Circus shopping centre.

Bond Street is a busy dual-carriageway with both carriageways divided by a safety barrier that makes this a difficult street to cross so it’s best to approach from the south of Bond Street.

Although it may seem like a pretty barren place to wait for a bus, it is in the city centre and there are plenty of places nearby to eat and drink including a McDonalds just a one-minute walk up the road.

There are several places to stay nearby, including a Holiday Inn right across the road as well as two different Premier Inns a five-minute walk from the coach stop.

This coach stop is only used by Megabus coach services. Other buses and coaches, including National Express coaches, First and Stagecoach regional buses and the Bristol Airport Flyer coach, depart from the Bristol Bus and Coach Station, which is a five-minute walk away on the other side of the Bearpit.

My megabus ticket says bus stop near Blacks!

The only place I can think of to be dropped off are the small streets south of Stokes Croft (A38), or behind Pound Land by Laser quest in Silver Street.

My megabus ticket says bus stop near Blacks!

Looking at my ticket to Heathrow for tomorrow, it clearly says bus stop at Bond Street (near Black’s). But now a different shop? The only place I can think of to be dropped off are the small streets south of Stokes Croft (A38), or behind Pound Land by Laser quest in Silver Street.

My megabus ticket still says near Blacks!

Looking at my ticket to Heathrow for tomorrow, it clearly says bus stop at Bond Street (near Black’s). Someone said it’s now a chicken restaurant! The only place I can think of to be dropped off are the small streets south of Stokes Croft (A38), or behind Pound Land by Laser quest in Silver Street.

Drop off at Bristol is difficult

Can you please include some guidance on where people can park if dropping off someone at Bristol. Last time we ended up on the other side of the dual carriageway which was very fast and crossing it was very difficult. Where is the nearest car park on the same side as the bus stop?

    Megabus departure point

This is a very poor picture to illustrate where the bus departs from. It mainly shows one side of a dual carriageway, but the Megabus in the picture is on the other side and on a stretch of the dual carriageway where one cannot cross. I know Bristol and the location well, but the photograph shows the most indistinguishable buildings you could find anywhere. It is also a very dark photograph. Elsewhere, the stop is referenced by its proximity to 'Blacks', a shop with two entrances, front and back, which, in terms of distance travelling by car to drop someone off and on account of the traffic system, are a LONG way apart. All in all, the location of the pick-up point to catch the bus is VERY ambiguous
