Millennium and Copthorne Hotels at Chelsea Football Club

The Millennium and Copthorne Hotels at Chelsea Football Club are two four-star hotels on the site of Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge stadium in west London.

The complex comprises two separate hotels, which are both operated by the same company and guests have access to the facilities in either hotel. The two hotels are located across the road from each other and guests booking the hotel can end up staying in either of the two buildings. The standard of in-room accommodation is similar in both buildings but you may need to visit a different building to access some facilities; for instance, the Millennium Hotel has the car park and the Copthorne has the hotels’ restaurants.

Between the two buildings, there are 231 spacious guest rooms that all have comfortable Hypnos beds, a work desk, a flatscreen smart TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub. Standard rooms are 20m² (215 sq ft) and superior and club rooms are 23m² (247 sq ft).

The two restaurants on the ground floor of the Copthorne include Frankie’s Sports Bar & Grill, 55 Restaurant, which serves British cuisine, and 55 Bar & Lounge, which offers a more casual dining environment.

Guests have access to the Chelsea Health Club & Spa but this comes at an additional charge. There is also a 24-hour business centre where you have access to a printer.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Like other hotels located next to major stadiums, prices are higher when there’s a scheduled football match, although it can be a reasonably affordable place to stay when there is nothing scheduled at Stamford Bridge.

The location is ideal if you’re visiting London to see Chelsea play at Stamford Bridge or if you want to take the Chelsea Football Club stadium tour. The hotel is just a short walk to the local shops on Fulham Road and Kings Road is also just a short walk away.

Fulham Broadway tube station is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. Fulham Broadway is in zone two and is served by the Wimbledon branch of the District line. From here, you can get to the museums at South Kensington in 10 minutes, Paddington station in 15 minutes and Westminster in 19 minutes with trains running every five minutes.

Car parking is available but it costs £35 per day.
