The Novotel London Greenwich is a large modern hotel in Greenwich in southeast London. Its location next to Greenwich railway station makes it very easy to base yourself here and commute into Central London.
It is a clean and well-maintained hotel that offers a high standard of accommodation, however, some guests say that it lacks character.
The hotel has 151 guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a writing desk, a flatscreen television, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities and en suite bathrooms. The hotel’s more expensive rooms have Illy coffee machines and Bose iPod docks. Some wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.
There is a nice bar and restaurant inside the hotel but its location near the centre of Greenwich ensures that there are plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.
All guests have access to the hotel’s fitness centre.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the hotel’s communal areas but it costs £12.99 per day to get Wi-Fi access in your room. However, members of the ALL loyalty programme (which is free to join) get free Wi-Fi access in their rooms.

The location next to Greenwich station is excellent for transport connections into central London and all the attractions of Greenwich are within walking distance. It is around a 10-minute walk to the main centre of Greenwich with all its shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as the Greenwich Market and tourist attractions such as Cutty Sark, the Fan Museum, National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House and Royal Observatory, Greenwich.
It is right next door to Greenwich station (in zones two and three), which has 12 DLR trains per hour to Bank via Canary Wharf and six suburban trains per hour to London Bridge (with four continuing to Cannon Street and two continuing to St Pancras via City Thameslink). Suburban trains are very quick and only take between eight and 10 minutes to get into central London but the DLR trains are slower and take 22 minutes.
Greenwich is a good spot to base yourself as you’re far enough from central London to get cheaper accommodation but it is an interesting neighbourhood with its own attractions and it has excellent public transport that will get you into the heart of London in around 10 minutes.
Because of its proximity to Greenwich station, the Novotel is a more convenient option than other Greenwich hotels.
Undercover car parking is available but it costs £18 per 24-hour period.
