Premier Inn Dover East

Rooms at the Premier Inn Dover East are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. Rooms feature a king-size Hypnos bed and a comfortable chair, a writing desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Some wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.

All rooms have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access (up to 1GB per day).

The hotel also features the Duke of York Brewers Fayre restaurant, which has a menu centred on pub classics including a great value Sunday roast. The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.

Like other hotels in the Premier Inn chain, this hotel is clean and well maintained offering a great value accommodation option but it is somewhat lacking in character.

The hotel is located in a service area off the A2, just north of the Duke of York’s Roundabout. From here, it is only a five-minute drive to either the town centre, Dover Castle or Dover Eastern Docks.

Although the location is best suited if you’re driving, it is a half-hour walk to Dover Castle and you can walk into the town centre in around 45 minutes. Bus route 81 runs past the roundabout near the hotel every half hour, although the closest bus stop is a 12-minute walk from here.

Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
