Quebecs Hotel

Quebecs Hotel is a four-star hotel in a historic building with loads of character. It is centrally located but it can be an expensive place to stay, particularly during peak periods.

It is located inside a Grade II-listed building dating from 1891, which was formerly home to the Leeds and County Liberal Club. It is a charming place to stay, not just because of the historic building and its striking terracotta brickwork and grand staircase but also because it is a relatively small hotel when compared to other city centre hotels of a similar standard.

The hotel has 44 air-conditioned guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities (including a trouser press), a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. There are also seven suites, which offer more space with separate living and sleeping areas.

The hotel has a traditional in-room decor that suits the historic building without feeling dated.

Considering that it is a fairly small hotel, Quebecs has an excellent choice of places to eat and drink. The ground-floor Porter’s Lodge Bar and Lounge is a cosy spot for a drink and a light meal, The Gallery is a beautiful lounge that is an indulgent spot for afternoon tea and you can enjoy breakfast in The Conservatory, which offers lovely views over the city. There is also an oak-panelled private dining room that you can book for special occasions.

Quebecs has an excellent location in the heart of Leeds city centre and it is particularly convenient if you’re travelling by train as the railway station is only a two-minute walk away. There is a wide choice of places to eat and drink within a five-minute walk from the hotel and the city’s main shopping district is also close by.

The hotel has seven car parking spaces that cost £15 for 24 hours and there another car park nearby for those times when the hotel’s car park is full.
