The Roomzzz London Stratford Aparthotel is a good accommodation option if you’re looking for somewhere to stay with a little more space while still allowing for easy access into Central London.
The hotel is comprised of 98 serviced apartments that vary considerably with five different classes of room ranging from the compact (but still spacious) Neo Studio and Smart Studio to the more spacious Liberty Suite.
The Neo Studio and Smart Studio are Roomzzz’s entry-level studio apartments and these come with a comfortable double bed, a flatscreen television, a work desk, a small kitchen, ironing facilities and an en suite bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. Although these are the smallest option at Roomzzz, they are larger than your average hotel room.
The Grande Studio is a larger room with all the amenities of the smaller Neo and Smart Studios but with more space and a small dining area.
The Dezign Suite is a larger room with a separate bedroom and living room and a large rooftop balcony that offers great views of central Stratford.
The Liberty Suite is a larger open-plan space with all the facilities that you can find in the Studio apartments but with more space.
All these apartments feature compact kitchens that are not fully-equipped. All come with dishwashers (except some of the Neo Studios), a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a hob and tea and coffee making facilities as well as all the basic utensils you should need, but there is no proper oven. In other words, you can make pasta or a casserole but you can’t bake a cake or make pizza.
All apartments are air-conditioned and free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel complex.
There is a laundry room that has washing machines and dryers that are free for guests to use.
Although the rooms are nice and spacious, there are no other communal spaces in the hotel other than a spot where you can pick up a complimentary ‘grab and go’ breakfast and a small Essentialzzz shop at the reception desk where you can buy basic food items.
Roomzzz is not as conveniently-located as other hotels in Stratford as it is around a 10-minute walk southeast of the centre of Stratford with Stratford station around a 12-minute walk away.
Stratford station (in zones two and three) is a busy transport interchange with frequent trains into central London. Stratford station has DLR trains to Greenwich and the Docklands, two tube lines (the Central and Jubilee lines), the Elizabeth line and suburban trains that run express to London Liverpool Street station. All up, there are around 60 trains per hour into central London with the journey to Liverpool Street in The City taking only 10 minutes. With the equivalent of a train into Central London every minute, it is hard to find anywhere else in London’s suburbs with better transport connections.
Stratford is also well situated if you need to get to some of London’s smaller airports with a direct DLR link to London City Airport, direct trains to Southend Airport and National Express coaches to Stansted Airport.
