Staybridge Suites London Heathrow Bath Road

The Staybridge Suites London Heathrow Bath Road hotel is a new apartment hotel that shares a building with a Holiday Inn on the Bath Road hotel strip just north of Heathrow Airport.

Although the two hotels share the same building, they are totally separate, although it is easy enough to pop next door if you feel like eating at the Holiday Inn’s restaurant. Both hotels opened at the beginning of 2019 so everything here is in very good condition.

The Staybridge Suites London Heathrow hotel has 190 apartments, which are comprised of 145 studio apartments and 45 one-bedroom apartments. These are spacious units that include comfortable beds, a small kitchen with a hob, microwave oven, fridge and dishwasher, a lounge area with a flat-screen television, ironing facilities and en suite bathrooms with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. The rooms do not have a work desk although you can work at the kitchen table or use the business centre downstairs. Some of the apartments are wheelchair accessible.

It has a contemporary decor with a homely feel that makes it feel like a home away from home for its regular and longer-term guests.

Although the hotel doesn’t have its own on-site restaurant or bar, there is a communal lounge where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and biscuits anytime and where the complimentary buffet breakfast is served.

Guests have free use of the hotel’s gym and there is also a business centre with printing services and an in-house laundry that is free for guests to use.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Most hotels in the Staybridge Suites chain cater mostly to longer-term guests with around half the rooms booked for a week or longer. However, this is not so much the case with this particular hotel as it is unusual to stay in an airport hotel for longer than one night.

The main advantage of this place over other Heathrow Airport hotels is that it has larger rooms and because of this, it is a great option for families that need a little more space.

Although it is relatively easy to get to Terminals 2 and 3, there is really not much to do in the immediate area and the neighbourhood is not particularly charming. It is on a busy road with lots of hotels and other airport-related businesses. You can eat at the Holiday Inn next door or the restaurant inside the nearby Leonardo Hotel and if you want to walk a little farther there a small Portuguese restaurant and the Three Magpies pub, which are both around a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Access to Terminals 2 and 3 is through a tunnel with no pedestrian access so you need to take a bus to get to the airport. However, it is one of the closer hotels to Terminals 2 and 3, which are around a six-minute bus ride from the hotel with direct buses to the terminals running every few minutes.
