Staycity Aparthotel Greenwich High Road is an apartment hotel in a modern three-storey building on Greenwich High Road near Greenwich in southeast London. This place represents very good value for an apartment hotel in London.
This Staycity Aparthotel has 68 apartments set on three floors. The apartments range from studio apartments up to more spacious one-bedroom apartments.
The studio apartments are open-plan rooms and the one-bedroom apartments have separate living and sleeping areas. All apartments have flatscreen televisions, sofas and a small kitchen and a dining area.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave and a stove top but it doesn’t have a proper oven so you can’t make pizza or bake a cake. The apartments have ironing facilities and there is a laundry room in the complex.
Some apartments on the higher floors have city views.
Because the living areas in the one-bedroom apartment have sofa beds, each one-bedroom apartment can sleep extra people with up to four people staying in the apartment. This makes it a great option for families and groups of friends travelling together.
All apartments and common areas have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access.
The hotel has some wheelchair-accessible apartments.
The serviced apartments are furnished in a minimalist style with neutral greys and blacks brightened up with yellow cushions and light fittings.
The hotel has a bright modern reception area and there is also a small gym.
Staycity is located on Greenwich High Road, which runs between Deptford and Greenwich in London’s southeastern suburbs. Although it is not right in the centre of Greenwich, it is a nice enough area and there are a couple of places to eat and drink in the immediate vicinity. A five-minute walk will take you to Greenwich station and within a 10 to 15-minute walk, you will be right in the heart of Greenwich with easy access to all of Greenwich’s attractions including the Cutty Sark, the Fan Museum, National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House and Royal Observatory, Greenwich.
Deptford Bridge and Greenwich stations (both in zones two and three) are only a five-minute walk from Staycity. Of these, most guests find Greenwich station the most convenient as it has a bigger choice of train services including fast trains into central London. Greenwich station has 12 DLR trains per hour to Bank via Canary Wharf and six suburban trains per hour to London Bridge (with four continuing to Cannon Street and two continuing to St Pancras via City Thameslink). Suburban trains only take around 15 minutes to get into central London but the DLR trains are slower and take 22 minutes.
Parking is available but spaces are limited and it costs £10 per night. The car park entrance is on Merryweather Place but you first need to visit the hotel reception to pick up a parking permit and a key fob that gives you access to the car park.
