The Bird, Bath

The hotel has 31 guest rooms, which all have comfortable Hypnos beds, a small work desk, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso coffee machine, a Dyson hairdryer and an en suite bathroom with a rain shower and Malin & Goetz toiletries. Most of the rooms are air-conditioned and the top-of-the-range feature hot tub room comes with its own hot tub.

Plate Restaurant & Bar is a big step up from your average hotel restaurant with modern British cuisine celebrating locally sourced seasonal ingredients. It includes a nice bar and a lovely outdoor terrace.

It is a charming place to stay with a lot more character than a chain hotel.

The hotel is on Pulteney Road, a busy road in the Bathwick neighbourhood on the western bank of the River Avon. Although it is a very nice area, there are not a lot of options for eating and drinking in the immediate vicinity around the hotel. However, the Holburne Museum is only a five-minute walk away and it is less than a 10-minute walk into the city centre.

The Bird, Bath has its own on-site car park, which is free of charge for hotel guests.
