Travelodge Bristol Filton

Rooms at the Travelodge Bristol Filton are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds (except for twin rooms, which have twin single beds), a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant and there are also a couple of other places to eat and drink nearby including branches of Costa Coffee and Subway next door and a small shopping strip just a five-minute walk up the road.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods. In general, this hotel represents good value when compared with hotels closer to the centre of Bristol.

Although it is not in a particularly vibrant location, there are a few places to eat and drink within walking distance and it is the closest hotel to Aerospace Bristol, which is around a five-minute walk from the hotel.

The closest bus stop is around a four-minute walk away and the bus into the city centre takes around 40 minutes. However, the hotel is better suited if you’re driving as there is free on-site car parking and it only takes 15–20 minutes to drive into Bristol city centre.

Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
