Travelodge London Covent Garden

The Travelodge London Covent Garden hotel is London’s best-located Travelodge hotel; however, it is also the most consistently expensive Travelodge in the United Kingdom.

Rooms at the Travelodge London Covent Garden are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant and there are also plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods. It is usually the most expensive Travelodge in the UK and you will save a lot of money if you stay somewhere slightly less central. Even staying just a three-minute tube ride away means that you can find a different hotel that will cost half as much as this one.

This hotel has a brilliant location. There are literally hundreds of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs within a short walk from the hotel and there are also several tourist attractions nearby. These include the British Museum, Sir John Soane’s Museum, the London Transport Museum, the Courtauld Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery and St Martin-in-the-Fields, which are all located within a 10-minute walk.

The closest tube stations are Holborn (Central and Piccadilly lines), Tottenham Court Road (Central and Northern lines) and Covent Garden (Piccadilly line). Each of these three stations is around a five-minute walk from the hotel and local bus routes 1 and 8 stop around the corner on High Holborn.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
