Travelodge London Central Euston

Rated 2 out of 5

The Travelodge London Central Euston hotel is an affordable hotel right next to Euston railway station. It makes a great base for a visit to London, particularly if you’re travelling by train to London Euston.

Rooms at the Travelodge London Central Euston are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant and there are also plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods. In general, this hotel represents good value when compared with other hotels in this part of London.

The hotel is right across the road from London Euston railway station, which makes it a great accommodation option if you’re travelling by train to Euston. There are plenty of shops and places to eat and drink nearby, both inside the railway station and on the streets surrounding the hotel.

Nearby attractions include the Wellcome Collection, the British Library, Grant Museum of Zoology, the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, the Foundling Museum and the British Museum, which are all less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

The closest tube station is Euston (Northern and Victoria lines) although Euston Square (Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines) is not much farther. The tube journey from Euston to Oxford Circus only takes two minutes with trains departing every 2–3 minutes.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.

    Basics lacking

Stayed in room 307 on 1st June 2022. Bed poor. Broken piece of pipe emerging from floor in bathroom. about 3 inches above floor and potential hazard. Pressure in bathroom VERY low. Carpet damaged under window. Travelodge would not be first choice now
