Travelodge London Greenwich

The Travelodge London Greenwich hotel is a big modern budget hotel in Greenwich that is an affordable alternative to city centre hotels but there are other suburban hotels (including the other Travelodge in Greenwich) that have better transport connections into central London.

Rooms at the Travelodge London Greenwich are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.

There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.

This hotel also has a small bar and restaurant but there are also several places to eat nearby.

Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.

Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.

This hotel is southwest of the centre of Greenwich so there is not quite as much on your doorstep compared with other Greenwich hotels. The centre of Greenwich and most of the Greenwich tourist attractions are a good 15 to 20-minute walk from the hotel but there are shops and places to eat in the immediate vicinity and there are good transport connections into the centre of London (but not as good as the other Greenwich Travelodge).

This Travelodge is just a two-minute walk from Deptford Bridge DLR station, which has trains every five minutes to Bank. The journey time into The City is 24 minutes. The hotel is also a 10-minute walk to either Deptford or Greenwich railway station, which have faster (but less frequent) services into central London.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
